Disease Modifying Drugs for Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease is linked to abnormal proteins in the brain called neurofibrillary tangles and amyloid plaques. Aducanumab is the first approved medication as a disease modifying agent for Alzheimer's disease. Aducanumab reduces the amount of amyloid plaque in the brain.
