Progesterone Antagonists
Mifepristone is a progesterone antagonist that is used for induction of abortion in early pregnancy. Generally, mifepristone is administered with misoprostol, which is a prostaglandin, to induce myometrial contractions, detachment, and expulsion of the pregnancy.
