Atypical Antidepressants
Bupropion and mirtazapine are atypical antidepressants. These medications are related to tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs). Bupropion is used for both depression and for smoking cessation. Bupropion lowers the seizure threshold. Mirtazapine is known to cause weight gain.
