Echinocandins
Echinocandins are a class of antifungals that are used in the treatment of aspergillus and candida infections. Echinocandins work by inhibiting the synthesis of β(1,3)-D-glucan, which is a compound used in the synthesis of the cell wall. Adverse effects include fevers, rash, and phlebitis.
