Squalene Epoxidase Inhibitors
As the class name suggests, squalene epoxidase inhibitors are antifungals that inhibit the production of ergosterol, an important component of the fungal cell wall, by inhibition of the squalene epoxidase enzyme. These medications are used in the treatment of tinea infections.
