Polymyxins
Polymyxins are a group of antibiotics that are used to treat gram negative infections. Polymyxin B is typically used topically for susceptible infections and colistin can be administered parenterally. These medications disrupt bacterial cell wall integrity. Nephrotoxicity and neurotoxicity are possible.
