Telavancin
Telavancin is another antibiotic that works against complicated skin infections including MRSA and is also used to treat complicated pneumonias. Telavancin works by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, disrupting the cell wall membrane. Telavancin is bactericidal. QTc prolongation, altered taste, and risk of fetal harm in pregnancy are known adverse effects.
