Telbivudine
Telbivudine is used in the treatment of hepatitis B. Telbivudine is a thymidine analog that works by competing for the viral reverse transcriptase and by insertion into viral DNA, which limits DNA chain elongation. Nephrotoxicity is a possible side effect.
